The first thing to do to enjoy the main attractions of Natal is to rent a car or hire a “bugueiro”. Then, you decide what direction to take. Towards the north coast, across the Potengi River, is a true natural amusement park in the middle of dunes, lagoons and beaches of Genipabu region. Among the attractions are radical maneuvers in the sand hills, riding aboard dromedaries, aerobunda (zipline) and esquibunda (down small board) in the lagoons of Pitangui and Jacumã. It is worth stretching the ride to Maracajaú, a complex of natural pools to five kilometers from the coast.
To the south coast, the landscapes reveal some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, including the village of Pipa. On the way there is an obligatory stop in Pirangi do Norte, where the largest cashew tree in the world and starting point towards the natural pools.
